Intervention & Dismissal Policy
For Students
1. Purpose
3 Minds Learning is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and structured learning environment for all students.
This Behavioral Intervention & Dismissal Policy outlines the procedures followed when student behavior disrupts the learning environment or poses a safety concern. The goal of this policy is not punishment, but protection, clarity, and consistency.
2. Guiding Principles
Behavioral concerns are addressed with the following principles in mind:
Student safety is the highest priority
Interventions will be developmentally appropriate
Students will be treated with dignity and respect
Parents and guardians are partners in behavioral support
The safety and wellbeing of the group will not be compromised
3 Minds Learning reserves the right to make decisions in the best interest of all participants.
3. Levels of Behavioral Response
When inappropriate or disruptive behavior occurs, staff may implement the following progressive steps, depending on the severity of the behavior:
Level 1: Redirection & Clarification
Clear verbal reminder of expectations
Re-establishing program guidelines
Supportive coaching
Level 2: Structured Intervention
Temporary removal from an activity
Reflection period under supervision
Re-entry into the activity once expectations are understood
Level 3: Parent / Guardian Notification
Documentation of behavior
Direct communication with parent or guardian
Discussion of support strategies if appropriate
4. Immediate Safety Intervention
In situations involving serious misconduct, staff may bypass progressive steps and take immediate action.
Examples include but are not limited to:
Physical aggression or fighting
Threatening or intimidating behavior
Bullying or harassment
Destruction of property
Behavior that endangers self or others
Severe or repeated refusal to follow safety instructions
In such cases, 3 Minds Learning may:
Remove the student from the activity immediately
Contact the parent or guardian for early pick-up
Document the incident
Initiate dismissal procedures if necessary
5. Dismissal from Program
A student may be dismissed from a program if:
Behavior poses ongoing safety concerns
There is repeated disruptive behavior despite intervention
The student requires supervision or behavioral support beyond what the program can reasonably provide
There is a serious incident involving aggression, harassment, or safety risk
Dismissal decisions are made at the sole discretion of 3 Minds Learning.
The decision will be communicated to the parent or guardian in writing.
3 Minds Learning reserves the right to determine eligibility for future participation.
6. Refund Policy in Cases of Dismissal
If dismissal occurs due to unsafe or aggressive behavior:
Refund eligibility will be determined at the discretion of 3 Minds Learning
Refunds may be prorated based on the duration of participation
Administrative or non-refundable fees may still apply
The organization prioritizes maintaining a safe environment for all students.
7. Students Requiring Additional Support
3 Minds Learning strives to create inclusive learning environments. However, our programs are not designed to provide one-on-one behavioral or therapeutic support.
If a student requires supervision or support beyond the program’s scope, parents may be contacted prior to or during participation to discuss next steps.
In some cases, alternative arrangements or future participation may be recommended.
8. Documentation & Record Keeping
Significant behavioral incidents may be documented internally to ensure consistency, transparency, and appropriate follow-up.
Documentation may include:
Date and time of incident
Description of behavior
Intervention steps taken
Communication with parent or guardian
Records are maintained confidentially in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our goal is always to support growth while protecting the safety and integrity of the learning environment.
Teacher & Adult Programs
1. Purpose
3 Minds Learning is committed to maintaining a professional, respectful, and psychologically safe learning environment in all teacher and adult programs.
This policy outlines behavioral expectations and procedures for adult participants in workshops, professional development sessions, masterclasses, and special events.
2. Professional Conduct Expectations
All adult participants are expected to:
Engage respectfully with facilitators, staff, and fellow participants
Contribute constructively to discussions
Maintain professional boundaries
Follow program guidelines and facilitator direction
Respect venue policies and shared spaces
Refrain from disruptive or inappropriate conduct
Participants are expected to uphold standards consistent with professional educational and community environments.
3. Prohibited Conduct
The following behavior is not permitted:
Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation
Verbal abuse or aggressive language
Disruptive behavior that interferes with the learning environment
Recording sessions without permission
Unauthorized distribution of program materials
Violation of intellectual property protections
Behavior that compromises physical or psychological safety
Any conduct that creates an unsafe or hostile environment may result in immediate intervention.
4. Progressive Response
When concerns arise, facilitators may:
Provide verbal redirection
Clarify expectations
Request respectful re-engagement
In most cases, adult participants will be given the opportunity to self-correct.
However, progressive steps are not required in situations involving serious misconduct.
5. Immediate Removal
3 Minds Learning reserves the right to remove an adult participant immediately if conduct:
Compromises safety
Disrupts the program significantly
Harasses or intimidates others
Violates safeguarding standards
Breaches venue rules
Removal decisions are made at the sole discretion of 3 Minds Learning.
Where applicable, venue management or school administration may also be notified.
6. Refunds in Cases of Removal
If an adult participant is removed due to misconduct or violation of policy:
No refund will be issued.
Partial refunds will not be granted.
Future program eligibility may be reviewed at the discretion of 3 Minds Learning.
7. Confidentiality & Respect for Shared Dialogue
Teacher and adult programs may involve discussion of professional experiences, classroom situations, or personal reflection.
Participants are expected to:
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive discussions
Avoid sharing identifying details of others outside the session
Respect diverse perspectives
Creating a psychologically safe environment is a shared responsibility.
8. Alignment with Institutional Standards
When programs are hosted in partnership with schools, boards, or community venues, participants must also comply with the policies of the host institution.
Failure to comply may result in removal from the program.
